Look Ahead II

The Look Ahead II is a traditional passenger boat, built in 1960 by M.W Blackmore and Son, Bideford, North Devon.

She has spent most of her life on the River Fal, she is 42’ long, built of larch planking on oak frames and is inspected and licensed annually by the Maritime Coastguard Agency to carry 60 passengers with 2 crew.

The Look Ahead II also has a local license from the Truro Harbour Authority to carry 12 passengers with just the skipper.

This well maintained vessel has a shallow draft which is ideal for exploring some of the smaller secluded parts of the river, where we go on some of our trips. She uses very little fuel, reducing on carbon footprint, which helps preserving the environment and wildlife for the future generations.

The Look Ahead II is partly covered with a roll out cover for the slightly damper days. Also there is a toilet aboard and cushioned seats.
